Estacia: From Surviving to a Voice of Her Own

Estacia: From Surviving to a Voice of Her Own

She wanted to feel like herself again. Now Estacia talks about keeping her word, rebuilding trust, and finding a voice for the people who feel alone. Her next chapter is a book.

“I want to be reliable again.”

It sounds like a small wish until you hear what it means to Estacia. To say she will do something—and mean it. To follow through. To begin trusting her own decisions again.

Across her KBlend conversations, she describes a change from trying to survive the day to noticing feelings, relationships, and possibilities she had struggled to reach. In one conversation, her mother Jodi shares what that period felt like for the family. In the later show, Estacia reflects on the choices she is continuing to practice.

Feeling something, then learning what to do with it

Estacia describes how unfamiliar it felt to experience happiness and to feel like herself again. She also talks about difficult thoughts, her relationship with alcohol, and learning that what happened to her does not have to define her identity.

Her account is still unfolding. There is a difference between telling someone she wants to change and showing them, through repeated choices, that they can trust her word. Listen for the moment she names something else she is gaining back: trust in herself.

A book, one memory at a time

Estacia wants to use her experience to help someone else feel less alone. She is beginning the next stage of her book, with recorded conversations and working chapters to help her find the shape of the story.

The working title is If Your Pain Had a Purpose. What belongs in it is hers to decide: the memories that matter, the questions that remain, and the details she wants to keep private. New writing and new video edits stay in review until they are ready to share.
